Tasting Notes - Fraser Gallop Chardonnay 2006 (Recommended)

Here's a great example of a classy chardonnay that straddles the line (in very good fashion) between the rich, ripe power style and the lean citrus cool climate example. Very clear pale gold, youthful. Nose is very classy with elegant ripe peachy notes and hints of well controlled spicy oak. Well balanced. Backs up well to taste with citrus fruits mated nicely to a creamy texture one might associate with the Margaret River region. Very good length and presence, helped by well used used spicy oak, fills the palate out nicely.
