Tasting Notes - Five Sons Estate 'The Boyz' Chardonnay 2006

This is the entry level Chardonnay from this Mornington Peninsula producer. A pleasant aroma of cream, peach and figs. Medium palate weight with an initial hit of sour fruit, a touch of grapefruit or perhaps just under ripe fruit? Once the wine warmed up a little in the glass it improved, the sourness subsided and the flavours softened but it was hard to get over that first impression.
