Tasting Notes - Underground Cabernet Merlot 2006

Label looks like a brand / negociant style operation which is actually based in the Mornington Peninsula. Could be a cleanskin by another name but the wines are well presented and this red drank ok.

Ripe nose of blackberry, confectionary-like, simple yet quite effective. Flavours are the same, at least early, but the palate loses it's way as the lolly-like fruit disappears very quickly to leave a flavourless hard edge. Quite a dramatic change actually. Pass.
