Tasting Notes - Enfield Pinot Noir 2005
Although made under the Enfield label this wine is in fact a Kellybrook, a veteren of the Yarra Valley. Lightish blood red, maybe raspberry. Strawberry notes early but a dustry, dirty fruit note is also evident. Palate is a bit tough to read. Not obviously fruity, rather subdued minerals (I mean this in the nicest possible way), good acid presence, and quite good length. European style in some respects and somewhat unusally for a YV offering.
