Tasting Notes - Ross Estate Lyndoch Cabernet 2004 (Recommended)

A good example of plush Barossa cabernet. 40% cab sav, 40% cab franc and 20% merlot. I would have picked this as merlot dominant given the soft plummy notes although the franc provides terrific lift on the nose. Fruits are simple; plums, juicy, fresh, but work so well. Some faint tingling acid provides good backbone and soft oak rounds out the palate.
