Wine Review - Woodlands Chloe Reserve Chardonnay 2005

Jeremy Oliver, OnWine - 95pts
"Powerful, assertive, Montrachet-styled chardonnay with a smoky, bacony bouquet whose scents of lemon, grapefruit and white peach overlie cheesy, mineral and floral qualities. Sumptuous and smooth, it’s concentrated and complex, delivering a viscous, rich and just slightly awkward expression of grapefruit, lemon and tropical fruit supported by substantial new oak and finishing quite toasty and honeyed. It leaves a lingering impression of intense fruit and refreshing acids. (Margaret River, $44 retail, approx., 18.6/95, drink 2010-2013)."
