Wine Review - Domain Day One Serious Merlot 2003

Jeremy Oliver, OnWine - 87pts
"Jammy, slightly confectionary aromas of dark cherries, blackberries and raspberries overlie leafy, herbal nuances and sweet suggestions of vanilla oak. Forward, plump and juicy, its relatively dimple but generous expression of sweet and faintly currant-like fruit overlies a faint forest floor-like aspect and sweet oak. It finishes slightly flat and raisined, with herbaceous undertones. (Barossa, $20 retail, approx., 16.0/87, drink 2005-2008)."
