Lindenton Verdelho 2005 (Heathcote)
Dirty fruited nose. Kinda weird but works ok on this occasion. Flavours don't work however; hot, awkward, very simple (but varietal) and a dumb lemonade-like finish.
Henley Hill Chardonnay 2006 (Yarra Valley) (Recommendation)
Sweetish, broad, slightly old-fashion style that ticks most boxes. Some oak and spice, and a slightly drying finish. Not much wrong here.
Greenpoint Chardonnay 2007 (Marlborough) (Recommendation)
Green fruit tinged nose, savvy-like, and I would have picked if I was sampling blind. Faint pineapple and stonefruits to taste. Quite subdued. Lean structure, Chablis-like, and good length. Looks really good at $17 - $18.
