Tasting Notes - The Growers Great Southern Chardonnay 2004

Another pretty solid effort. Deep yellow gold in colour; some maturity apparent. Nose is more about wine making tricks than primary fruits; oak, nuts, malo, some burnt rubber. Quite similar to taste, however the burnt rubber / matchstick notes seems to dry the wine out a touch and drives a slightly bitter finish. Still, pretty good and does aspire to some seriousness.
