Appelation: Gevrey Chambertin Premier Cru
From the excellent list at Vin Cellar in Prahran ($175). Decantered for 20 minutes but the wine still came across as very young. Well supported by oak (definately there but not over powering) the fruit was still tight and minerally, unyielding, and gave the impression that this wine needs at least 5 years. Some iron and blood as well. Notwithstanding the class is apparent. A good result for a less than stella vintage.
