Tasting Notes - Ad Hoc Shiraz 2005
Dead simple nose with plenty of sweet red berries and oak. Kinda dumb but has obvious (& immediate) appeal. Drys out in the palate. No sweet fruity character, as expected, instead faint pepper and drying oak. Palate is actually very disappointing given the lack of any typical fruit character. Perhaps early days for the wine but if this appears to be pitched at every day drinking and thus does miss the mark.
