Tasting Notes - Ross Estate CD Visit

More tardy notes from mid-year..............

Chardonnay 2005 (Recommended)
Low key style; lemon and citrus, low oak impact. Slightly old fashion perhaps yet well made in a tight crisp style.

Lyndoch Cabernet Franc / Cabernet Sauvignon / Merlot 2004
Balanced and settled. Mustry cabernet fruits and hints of blackberry. Very smooth but lacks some obvious fruit punch.

Reserve Shiraz 2004
Very similar palate structure to the 2004 Lyndoch. Very smooth with low tannin and oak impact. Standard varietal fruits. Note sure what to make of it - are the fruits really soft or under-powered?
